Testimonials
Hear from our students and parents about their experiences training in authentic Shotokan Karate. Discover how our dojo builds skill, confidence, discipline, and a love for martial arts.
We are having a GREAT experience at the Plymouth Silvera Karate Dojo! Sensei Oscar was gracious enough to offer my 13 year old daughter a private free class. She instantly fell in love with the program and was eager to come back. I signed my 11 year old son up as well, they are approaching their yellow belt and have learned so much . They are learning Karate and self defense, they use props for weapons and equipment to spare in safety. They are being taught street smarts as well as your traditional training. How to handle being attacked suddenly, so far we have noticed our kids self esteem and confidence rise. We can’t thank Sensei Oscar enough and are so happy to have found this place! It’s definitely worth a try.. (adults train their as well!)

I began training in Shotokan over 20 years ago, and I have recently had the privilege of learning under Sensei Silvera. His extensive experience and deep knowledge allow him to provide a truly personal and exceptional training experience. Sensei Silvera brings a unique and thoughtful approach to Shotokan Karate. His expertise spans multiple martial arts, and his genuine care for his students is evident in every class. I am truly honored to train with him.

It is a great place to practice and learn. It focuses on traditional karate practice, the mind body and spirit (self). Learning to protect yourself is a key skill to have, and this place will teach you how. I thoroughly enjoy coming here to practice, Sensei Silvera is patient, friendly, and exact. He will teach you proper techniques and etiquettes. I highly recommend this place if you are curious or interested in karate. All levels of skill are welcome. This dojo is always open to those who are curious and passionate!
